Words lead people to action.
Leaders use the words that inspire the greatest so we must have the most powerful words to describe what we do and why. Last weekend I heard a fantastic term from a superstar leader called Louise and it stopped me in my tracks!
Lou has one of the fastest growing organisations on the planet and I have the honour of being their leadership coach. One reason for their incredible growth is the communication Lou has developed for them to use.
She was explaining what she said at recruiting presentations and coaching and she said her business had given her 'Financial Peace'.
Not 'financial security'. Not 'financial freedom'. 'Financial Peace'.
WOW!
She said financial peace was the feeling you get when you know you are 'alright about money'. I suppose this is what 'financial security' gives you. Peace.
She uses this word because 99.99% of her team are women and this term relates especially to women. One woman I asked said this term was perfect because women never expect to be 'free' so 'peace' is the only believable heaven.
